For years, Overly Kind has been committed to offering high-quality, vegan, and cruelty-free products that promote self-care and kindness. As we’ve grown, we’ve made the decision to step away from selling on Amazon and focus on our own independent eCommerce store. While Amazon remains a valuable platform for many small businesses, we felt that transitioning to a more direct approach would better serve our customers and our mission.

By managing orders ourselves, we can ensure that every package meets our high standards for quality, care, and sustainability. This also eliminates issues such as missing or delayed shipments that were previously beyond our control.

Sustainability also played a significant role in our choice. While Amazon does offer recycling programs, we found that excessive packaging remained a concern. Through our partnerships with small businesses, we’re able to prioritize the use of eco-friendly materials and minimize unnecessary waste, helping to reduce our environmental impact.

Additionally, we saw an opportunity to strengthen our commitment to supporting small businesses. Rather than relying on one major retailer, we are now partnering with several incredible small businesses to help bring Overly Kind products to more people. This shift allows us to work with suppliers and distributors who align with our values and share our dedication to ethical production.

We’ve also added a space on our site to encourage donations to animal sanctuaries and shelters, inspiring others to give back to their communities. Even if customers don’t donate through us, we hope the option will get them thinking about how they can make a difference. Supporting small businesses that are also committed to giving back creates a ripple effect of kindness that goes beyond just the products we sell.
